The RSP Autumn School took place this week from the 7th - 9th November at Miskin Manor in Cardiff. The themes for the school were Bringing the emphasis back to Open Access and Demonstrating value to your institution. David Prosser from Research Libraries UK delivered a thought provoking and lively keynote address which stimulated a lot of discussion.
In the last year or so, repositories have become more embedded in their institutions, in particular with their contribution to research evaluation and reporting. The school focused on how we can continue to demonstrate the value of the repository to the institution without losing the impetus to make that research open access. Thanks to the speakers for their coverage of the issues and practical ideas as to how to do this. And thanks also to the partcipants who came up with soem really creative solutions.
